Controller: Dr Elena Vargas Moreno · editorial@calculadorafracciones.com
Fraction calculations run in your browser: the numbers you type are not sent to our servers, and you do not need an account. This page summarizes what data is handled, for what purpose and what you can do about it.
Technical connection data
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which handles technical connection data, such as the IP address and request headers, to serve the pages and protect them from abuse. Cloudflare may process this data outside the European Economic Area. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visit measurement without cookies
To learn which pages are read and to improve the site, we use two measurement tools, and neither of them creates cookies.
The first is Plausible Community Edition, an open-source program for cookieless analytics, run on the controller’s behalf. Each visit sends the page path, where the visit came from, general browser and device information and interaction measures to the site itself, which forwards them to Plausible together with the IP address and the browser’s user agent.
The second is Google Analytics 4, from Google Ireland Limited, which acts as a processor. It runs with Google’s consent mode set to “denied” for every purpose: it does not create or read cookies, does not store identifiers on your device, and does not use the data for advertising or ad personalisation. Each visit sends Google the page path and title, where the visit came from, general browser and device information and interaction measures, such as scrolling. Like any server, Google’s also receives the connection’s IP address. Google may process this data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
In neither case are URL parameters, fragments, numbers, expressions or results sent. Measurement does not store anything on your device, except the flag that keeps your choice if you decide not to be measured. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in knowing, in aggregate, how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
You can object in two ways, and both stop both kinds of measurement. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, the site does not load measurement. You can also use “Don’t count my visits” at the foot of every page, which saves your choice in this browser.
What is stored on your device
Some features remember data in your browser. It is not sent to the site or to third parties, and you can delete it in your browser settings. The cookies and storage page lists it with its purpose and duration.
- The calculator history stores the mode, the operation and the values of the problems you calculated. It is off by default and is only saved if you turn it on; “Clear history” deletes it.
- “My worksheets” stores the last 10 worksheets you download: title, file path and time.
- The worksheet generator remembers the print mode and paper size you choose.
- When an app update is applied, the values you typed are kept for a moment so they can be restored after the reload, and the copy is deleted when it is read.
- If you use the calculator offline, the browser keeps the files it needs in its cache.
Share links
When you share a problem or a worksheet, the numbers and options travel in the URL fragment, the part after the # sign. Browsers do not send the fragment to the server, and visit measurement does not collect it either. Whoever opens the link will see the same problem. If you do not want certain data to appear in a link, do not share it.
Emails you send us
If you write to editorial@calculadorafracciones.com, we handle your message and contact details in order to reply. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in answering inquiries and, when you ask for help, the application of measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR). Do not send student data or private documents.
How long data is kept
Plausible data is kept only in aggregated, cookieless form, while it remains useful for the site’s statistics; we do not set a specific period in days. Google Analytics keeps the data of each visit for the retention period set in the account and after that keeps only aggregated reports. Emails are kept as long as needed to reply to you and, where relevant, to correct the page concerned. If you want to know what data of yours we hold or ask for its deletion, write to editorial@calculadorafracciones.com.
Your rights
You are not required to provide data to use the site, and no automated decisions are made about you. You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection regarding your data by writing to editorial@calculadorafracciones.com. If you believe the processing is not correct, you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; for example, the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
